Sociological Theories: Divorce

In today's world, divorce is regarded as as regular or expected as engaged and getting married since almost half of the partnerships end up over a divorce in accordance to theВ Bureau of the Census 1975: sixty four; National Essential Statistics ReportsВ 2010 (Sociology: A short Introduction, McGraw-Hill, p. 312). A divorce can be quite a traumatic event for the couple but it is especially hard for the affected children that have to either live with one of the father and mother or the additional. Below Let me explain the various Sociological types of divorce included functionalist, conflict, and interactionist points of views.

Functionalist View

" In examining any kind of aspect of contemporary society, functionalists highlight the contribution it makes to overall social stability” (Sociology: A quick Introduction, McGraw-Hill, p. 17) Functionalist respect divorce being a negative point of view and blames society instead of blaming the main cause of divorce being a failure of the individuals.

• Divorce used to be considered a trouble before now the majority of religions possess accept it divorce as being a better option making it possible for people to pick a divorce over trying to fix a problem

• Divorce is becoming more affordable now that the government has more affordable solution for people with less income.

• The government offers more assist to single moms encourage them to divorce and use the benefits presented such as real estate, health and meals.

• Divorce is growing acceptance socially smart around the world (Sociology: A Brief Launch, McGraw-Hill, l. 313)

Conflict View

Turmoil theorists argue that the interpersonal order is founded on coercion and exploitation (Sociology: A Brief Advantages, McGraw-Hill, g. 17). They will emphasize the fact that couple will suffer economically and the only group that will gain from this separation is the federal government because of taxation.
